Angelica Panganiban (born Angelica Panganiban) is an Filipino American model, TV host and comic. In 2012 when Angelica Hale was just 4 years old she became very ill with double pneumonia due to a serious strep bacterial infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston placed Angelica Hale on ECMO care for life-saving treatment. Her condition was a result of numerous organ problems, including the failure of her kidneys. Her condition forced her to alter her daily routine around hemodialysis as well as peritoneal dialysate. After 80 straight days in the hospital, from near-death to long road to recovery she finally made it home but her life forever changed. Angelica was on dialysis for over a decade and half of that time before she was able to undergo the kidney transplant. Her mother would be the recipient. Angelica and her mother had a successful kidney surgery on the 13th of September, 2013. The surgery was performed at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals situated across from each other. Angelica Hale's ambition to be a superstar has never wavered.
