Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. Growing up, she listened to classical music, old boleros as well as classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos as well as opera, and various other dramatic styles. She began singing and learning the piano with her mom, before beginning her singing training at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later with the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She sang in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a college student as well as a professional. When she moved into The United States in 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in classical Latin American music at private occasions. She is involved with many local projects, both as a teacher and performer, due to her passion for music and art. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently teaching at the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her singing music from Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire an interest, especially for the young generation and keep the tradition living.
